Hace 27 años, el ejército americano llevó a cabo un experimento mediante el cual se creó una criatura mitad tiburón y mitad delfín. Simón Chase, un científico especializado en el estudio del gran tiburón blanco, descubre que dicha criatura continúa viva, y que se ha convertido en un terrible monstruo que tiene aterrorizados a los habitantes de una pequeña isla del Caribe.
