Kim es un campeón de Tawkwondo al que han excluído ilegalmente de un campeonato en las Vegas para que no pueda vencer al campeón americano. Además, su esposa fallece al dar a luz a su hija Sa Ring, a quien tendrá que cuidar por sí mismo.
